2025 Nissan Altima

The 2025 Nissan Altima has four trims: the S, SV, SR, and SL. The base S trim features 16-inch steel wheels with wheel covers, LED headlights, and a chrome V-Motion grille. The SV offers a Special Edition package and adds 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels. The SR trim elevates the sporty appearance with 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels, a dark chrome V-Motion grille, and dual chrome exhaust finishers. The range-topping SL includes a power sliding glass moonroof and maintains the chrome V-Motion grille and body-color heated outside mirrors with LED turn signals. All trims come with LED headlights and daytime running lights.

In front-wheel-drive models, the 2.5-liter direct injection four-cylinder engine produces 188 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 180 pound-feet of torque at 3,600 rpm. All-wheel-drive versions have 182 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. A continuously variable transmission comes standard. While front-wheel drive is standard, Nissan's Intelligent All-Wheel Drive is available on SV, SR, and SL trims. This system continuously monitors road conditions to optimize traction. Select models deliver class-competitive fuel economy of up to 32 mpg combined.

The Altima accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 7.4 seconds with front-wheel drive and reaches top speeds between 119 and 130 mph. Active Ride Control manages bumps and curves, while Intelligent Trace Control enhances cornering performance across all trims. The SR trim features a sport-tuned suspension for more dynamic handling. SR and SL trims include a Drive Mode Selector with Sport mode for a more engaging driving experience.

An 8-inch display with NissanConnect and a 7-inch advanced drive-assist display are available across various models. The S and SV feature cloth seat trim, while the SR upgrades to sport cloth seats with leather appointments. The SL offers full leather-appointed seating. The rear seats provide 35.2 inches of legroom and 60/40-split folding capability. Dual-zone automatic temperature control comes standard on SV, SR, and SL models. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility are included across the lineup. The SL adds a premium nine-speaker Bose audio system. Remote engine start functionality is available.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 comes standard on all trims, featuring automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. SV, SR, and SL trims add ProPILOT Assist, which combines intelligent cruise control with steering assist. The SL trim enhances safety with traffic sign recognition and an Intelligent Around View Monitor, providing a 360-degree bird's-eye view. In the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety tests, the Altima received Good ratings for small overlap front tests, Marginal for moderate overlap front tests, Poor for side tests, Acceptable for headlights, and Marginal for front crash prevention.
