The 2025 Nissan Frontier is available in 10 trims: King Cab S, King Cab SV, Crew Cab S, Crew Cab SV, Crew Cab SV Long Bed, Crew Cab PRO-X, Crew Cab SL, Crew Cab SL Long Bed, Crew Cab PRO-4X, and Crew Cab PRO-4X Long Bed. The King Cab S features 17-inch steel wheels with all-season tires, LED headlights, and LED daytime running lights. The King Cab SV brings 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels and a body-color rear bumper. The Crew Cab S mirrors the King Cab S features while adding four full-size doors. The Crew Cab SV includes 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels and offers a long bed option. The PRO-X trim has 17-inch dark-finished aluminum alloy wheels, all-terrain tires, LED off-road lights, and a sport bar. The SL trim elevates the exterior with 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels and chrome accents. The PRO-4X adds red tow hooks and Lava Red grille accents. A new sliding rear window comes standard across all trims, and a fresh 17-inch wheel design appears on SV trims and above. The exterior color palette now includes Afterburner Orange.

The 2025 Frontier has a 3.8-liter direct injection V-6 engine across all trims, generating 310 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 281 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm. This powertrain pairs with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive comes standard on S, SV, and SL trims. The PRO-4X features a four-wheel-drive system with a two-speed transfer case. Four-wheel drive models include a two-speed electronic transfer case with 4-HI and 4-LO modes.

When properly equipped, the Frontier delivers impressive capabilities with a maximum towing capacity of 6,720 pounds and a maximum payload capacity of 1,610 pounds, varying by configuration. The PRO-4X enhances off-road performance with an electronic locking rear differential and Bilstein off-road performance shocks. All trims feature hill-start assist, hill-descent control, and a four-wheel anti-lock braking system. Performance testing shows 0 to 60 mph acceleration times ranging from 7 to 7.6 seconds, with the PRO-4X achieving 7.3 seconds. Quarter-mile times range from 15.3 to 15.9 seconds.

The SV trim and higher models feature a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, while the S trim includes a 7-inch touchscreen display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility come standard across the lineup. Zero gravity front seats enhance comfort in all models. The SL and PRO-4X trims add leather-appointed seats and a 10-speaker Fender premium audio system. Dual-zone automatic temperature control appears in SV and higher trims. Remote start functionality through the key fob starts at the SV trim level. Higher trims offer wireless charging capability. All models include USB-C and traditional USB ports and a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel.

Every Kicks comes equipped with Nissan Safety Shield 360, which includes curtain air bags, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and high beam assist. Higher trims include additional safety features such as intelligent cruise control, intelligent lane intervention, blind-spot intervention, and a 360-degree camera.
