Everything You Need To Know About the Next-Gen SUV
The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder combines rugged capability with family-friendly versatility. This three-row SUV features a powerful engine and excellent towing capacity, and it adapts to various driving conditions while maintaining exceptional comfort.
Trim Levels
The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder is available in five trims: the S, SV, SL, Platinum, and Rock Creek. Each trim features LED headlights with LED daytime running lights and wraparound LED taillights. The S and SV models come with 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, while the SL and Platinum trims upgrade to 20-inch machine-finished aluminum-alloy wheels.
The Rock Creek stands out with 18-inch beadlock-style wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires and an exclusive black mesh grille. Higher trims incorporate additional premium features, including a motion-activated power liftgate on the SV and above and a panoramic moonroof on the SL and Platinum models. The Rock Creek trim elevates capability with a 5/8-inch lifted suspension and specialized off-road components.
Engine
The Pathfinder has a 3.5L Direct Injection V-6 engine, producing 284 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque. The Rock Creek trim increases output to 295 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. All models feature a nine-speed automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive comes standard on the S, SV, SL, and Platinum trims, with Intelligent 4x4 available. The Rock Creek includes standard four-wheel-drive capability, complemented by a seven-position Drive and Terrain selector offering Standard, Sport, Eco, Snow, Sand, Mud/Rut, and Tow modes.
Performance
The Pathfinder accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 6.7 seconds with the standard engine configuration. All models can tow up to 6,000 pounds when properly equipped. The Rock Creek trim enhances off-road performance with its lifted suspension and specialized all-terrain setup. The seven drive modes optimize vehicle performance for specific conditions, while standard hill-start assist, hill-descent control, and trailer sway control systems provide additional confidence during challenging driving situations.
Interior
The Pathfinder's cabin offers flexible seating for up to eight passengers, or seven if you opt for the second-row captain's chairs. The SV and higher trims feature an eight-way power adjustable driver's seat and 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The SL and Platinum models add a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and premium leather-appointed seats. The Rock Creek trim includes water-repellent leatherette seats with embroidered logos and orange contrast stitching. With all seats folded, the Pathfinder provides 80.5 cubic feet of cargo space. All trims include tri-zone automatic temperature control for passenger comfort.
Safety Features
The Pathfinder comes standard with Nissan Safety Shield 360, including automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, high beam assist, and rear automatic braking. The SL and Platinum trims add ProPILOT Assist with Navi-link for enhanced highway driving assistance. These models also feature traffic sign recognition and Nissan's Intelligent Around View Monitor, providing a comprehensive 360-degree view of the vehicle's surroundings. Front and rear sonar systems are included on the SV trim and above.
