In 2022, Nissan decided to make over their Frontier lineup for the third generation of this truck. It was well received, and now we’re looking at the 2025 Nissan Frontier.
The 2025 lineup consists of 4 different variations of the Frontier. Today, we will look at the base model, labeled the Crew Cab S Version.
Key Features of the S 4×2 Frontier
Consumers seem to love the features that even come on the base model trim. These include 16″ Aluminum-alloy wheels, an optional spray-on bedliner (which is great for fleet trucks, or even your truck), remote keyless entry, elegant cloth seat trim, an 8″ touchscreen display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, a four-speaker audio system, and Safety Shield 360.
The 7″ gauge cluster can show multiple different points of interest, giving you a glance at many important data points during your ride. All modes are accessible by the illuminated controls located on the steering wheel.
Connectivity
The Frontier comes with NissanConnect, which is their version of Wi-Fi. This means while you are out on the road, you have access to great service, whether you are using your phone or laptop.
Wireless charging is not available in this model, so be sure to bring along your USB cord if you need to keep your phone juiced. With Bluetooth capability built-in, you’ll be able to stream music or take calls while on the run. There are a total of 4 USB ports within the vehicle and one 12v port.
Safety & Driver Assistance
The Forward Collision System allows the vehicle to brake if it senses it is too close, or coming up too fast on an object, including a pedestrian. Sensors in the rear of the vehicle also allow for rear automatic braking. Regular brake assist comes standard, so if the vehicle feels you need assistance during a sudden or hard stop, it kicks in and helps.
Interior
The front driver’s side seat has manual 6-way adjustable controls. The rear seat has a 60/40 split and fold feature with some storage capability underneath the seats. The seating capacity is give.

The S Model comes standard with the same engine as all the other trims of the Frontier. A 3.8-liter DOHC 24-valve 6-cylinder engine delivers 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. The front suspension has an independent double-wishbone with coils and shock absorbers and a front stabilizer bar. The rear has a rigid axle leaf and stabilizer bar.
